Located 100 Km away from Colombo and 5km in land from famous Hikkaduwa beach and city center where its called Gonapinuwala, a village which is famous for cultivation.It is a traditional Sri Lankan house located on shores of Kubura. “Kubura“is the Sinhala meaning of paddy field which acts a main role in Sri Lankan culture. Villa front is a kubura which runs far and make you feel you are in front of a green velvet.

This villa has four luxury large bedrooms with attached bathrooms. The bedrooms, lobby, sitting area and the balcony is equipped with traditional Sri Lankan furniture and even the statues and wall hangings though decades old. Bathrooms has amenities extracted by Sri Lankan herbs.

The pool is designed according to the ancient Sri Lankan structure of Kings Bath which is called “pokuna” with pavilion. And the huge lawn in front of the villa has enough space for a small function.

Dining Area and kitchen is ready to serve Sri Lankan traditional recipes, Sea food menus from fresh fish brought from Hikkaduwa harbor and organic vegetables with rice from surrounding area. BBQ can be arranged.

The interior and exterior of the villa is done by the owner “Sudath Koralage” who has worked in Hospitality industry for years as a manager.

Diving / Snorkeling
Villa Kubura is 5km away from the famous Hikkaduwa Marine park (coral Reef) and we provide free snorkeling equipment with a free tuk tuk ride to hikkaduwa, if you wish to go for snorkeling, the best time is between 7am to 11am in the morning if you wish to see the turtles “ Rosi” & “Victoria” while snorkeling. Diving can be arranged

Cycling
If you can spend couple of hours you can experience the real village life of low country and can visit some historical Buddhist temples, can ride along the Flood banks of “Ging ganga” the main River which supply’s water to Most parts of Galle district, and if you are interested in Sri lanakan cultivation the best thing to do is cycling around. We specially focused on Traditional Sri lankan Dishes which are rare to experience and not offered in many other hotels and restaurants. The most important fact about our meals is all the vegetables and most of the spices are supplied from the village farmers who live around and you can visit the organic vegetable garden in front of the gate and select what you need. Fish is brought from the Hikkaduwa harbor daily. The biggest problem with sri Lankan dishes is most of the tourists do not know them by their names and even from look, but they really like the taste and the quality with health benefits.
