Baan Chao Lay is a deluxe villa located on the idyllic west coast of Koh Samui. Offering guests a superior standard of accommodation from its classy, spacious design to its contemporary interior design features, this villa has certainly been built with quality in mind. As the large electric gates of this villa close behind you, you are transported in to a luxurious environment where privacy and peace is of high priority. Entering through the villas inner gates, you step over the fish filled pond and access the homes central courtyard. To the left and right you find four out of the properties five bedrooms. Located in two separate pavilions with two bedrooms in each with 3 doubles (king bed in each) and 1 twin (2 single beds). All have their own en-suite with large walk-in shower.

Within the central courtyard of the Baan Chao Lay villa is the large swimming pool with Jacuzzi. The pool is ideal for laps due to its length, playing games or just lazing by it on the surrounding deck. Wrapping around this area is the combined kitchen/dining/living room and on the opposite side the large master bedroom with study and enormous en-suite. Both of these rooms have stunning water views and being on the west coast of the island lends for viewing some of the most stunning sunsets you will ever witness. The living room with its adjacent kitchen/dining area is a fantastic place for relaxing and entertaining alike and with direct access to the pool deck, garden and beach frontage this opens up the villa to enjoy its surrounding environment.

The master bedroom offers similar conveniences of being able to open up completely to entice the senses of the beach and garden and offers guests a calming area to rest. With its large en-suite bathroom and attached study area this is certainly a sanctuary for the lead member of the party to have as their own private retreat.

On the beach front under the shade and protection of the giant trees lining the beach is the villas Sala. This can be used for outdoor dining or alternatively relaxation in the heat of the day.

Things To Do

• Nathon and Lipa Noi are the best places to enjoy Samui’s sunsets and views of Ang ThongNational Marine Park.
• Lipa Noi Beach has fine white sand with no corals or rocks in the water, so it’s a veryswimmable beach that’s also safe for young children. The shallow waters run about up to 100moff the beach.
• Fun family activities include the Samui Zipline in Lipa Noi and the Samui Cultural Center, amodern one-stop destination for those who wish to learn about Thai culture.
• Nathon Town has relatively cheaper shopping spots than the other more popular areas inSamui, and you’ll find restaurants and local businesses selling goods from fresh produce andpastries to souvenirs.
• Venture further inland to visit the Na Mueang Waterfalls, some of the most scenic waterfalls in Samui.
• Visit Fisherman’s Village, Bophut Beach, the dining hub of Koh Samui with over 40 restaurants, many of them beachfront or on the sand itself. Most shops and restaurants are open from late morning or early afternoon. The Village becomes a vibrant “Walking Street” and is closed to traffic from 5pm on Fridays.
