About the property
This prestigious Castle is located in a 600-hectare estate and on the rolling hills of the Val d’Orcia, in between Sien and Montalcino. This amazing villa has been made a UNESCO building and has a rich history attached to it.
The Castello (Italian for Castel) has a 16th-century tower and is surrounded by ancient oak and holm oak trees. There is an avenue that is adorned with Cyprus trees leading up to the villa, it is a truly stunning sight.
Whilst maintaining its historical charm the castle has been restored and so that it meets modern day luxury. All the bedrooms and bathrooms have maintained their elegance and every comfort is thought of. All the bedrooms have air conditioning.
The kitchen, which has maintained its original appearance, has been equipped with modern and functional elements: oven, microwave, dishwasher and other accessories.
From the tower, it is possible to enjoy a 360° view that stretches from Siena to Montalcino to Mount Amiata, a unique panorama of the whole Orcia valley. Outdoors there is a private swimming pool with shower, sunbeds and deckchair. In the shadier areas of the park there are elegant little lounges, whereas, on the outdoor terrace contained within the villa, an open-air dining area has been created with a long table for sixteen people.
The domestic staff lives in an area reserved for them in the villa. They do the cleaning and prepare breakfast every day from Monday to Saturday. They can also prepare lunch and supper on request; this service is to be paid for on site.
