About the property

Beautiful farmhouse situated 12 km from Montalcino, in the heart of the production area of the prestigious wine of the same name in the vicinity of the castle of Argiano.
Entirely renovated just a few years ago, it is built in the form of a U around a typical courtyard where, beneath a veranda covered by an ancient Isabella grape vine, guests have at their disposal a spacious area furnished for dining in the open air. The large garden overlooking the vineyards has tall trees, shady areas for relaxation and a fine 7x14 m swimming pool for guests’ exclusive use.

The interior is furnished with antique pieces characteristic of the area, and embellished with precious paintings and the most tasteful upholstery. The couple who act as caretakers and also deal with the daily cleaning, live in an external apartment and on request are also willing to prepare breakfast or other meals and take care of the laundry. The main kitchen is superbly equipped with ovens, microwave, fridges and barbecue, also perfect for cookery courses. The laundry is provided with washing machine and dryer. All the bedrooms are equipped with ceiling fans. Other amenities of the villa include an internet connection, satellite TV and stereo with CD player.

The town of Montalcino is by now famous the world over for its magnificent wine, its architectural attractions and fine food. Also within easy reach are sites of cultural interest such as Pienza (24 km), the characteristic spa of Bagni San Filippo (35 km), Montepulciano (24 km), and Siena (50 km). Just 60 km away is the sea of the Etruscan coast, with the resort of Castiglione della Pescaia just one hour’s drive away.

GROUND FLOOR: very spacious living area of approximately 80 square metres, comprising sitting room furnished with sofas and armchairs, dining area with an attractive fireplace carved out of an ancient niche, and access to the garden; two kitchens, one lavishly equipped with ovens, dishwashers, freezers and lots of other accessories, the second, also very well equipped but of more manageable dimensions; 1 double bedroom, one bathroom with bathtub.

FIRST FLOOR: large sitting room, with sofas and fireplace, from which a staircase leads to another living area also containing gym equipment; 4 double bedrooms, 3 of which have en suite bathrooms with bathtub while the other has a bathroom with double shower.
Pergola fully equipped for dining in the open air in front of the kitchen. The bedrooms are fitted with ceiling fans.
