Lombok Villa 3667

The stunning, five-bedroom Villa 3667 embraces tradition with a sumptuous contemporary twist. Inspired by traditional wooden joglo houses of Java, with an injection of Western perfection, the property rests in blissful seclusion on 9700 square metres of seaside gardens in northwest Lombok. Villa 3667 is complemented by sophisticated facilities and superb service from a full team of caring staff including a manager, villa attendants, and a chef.

Villa Layout

The property is entered via an impressive gateway bordered by a sizeable car parking area. Guests will be greeted in the large, open-sided living pavilion, which is flanked by a small ornamental pond and water fountain. Centrepiece is the 20 x 8 metre freeform swimming pool, complete with joglo-styled pool bar, while the five bedrooms, dining room with adjoining kitchen, and beachside gazebo are leisurely spread throughout the remainder of the expansive 9700-square-metres, flat-lawned garden, which is dotted with coconut palms, teak trees, and many other tropical trees and flowering shrubs. The gardens provide ample space for kids to play in safety. The joglo buildings have been named after the Pandawas brothers and other heroic characters from the 5000-year-old Hindu epic, the ‘Mahabaharata’ – a tale of intrigue and conflict among kings, demons, gods and sages.

Living Areas

Living Pavilion

The first building that guests will see and step into as they enter the property is the open-sided living pavilion, which also serves as a lobby. Cooled by natural breezes and ceiling fans, this huge joglo building is a generous 12 x 14 metres in size, complete with decorative hand-carved features, a high roof, a Dutch-colonial style chandelier, lanterns and wall sconces, and antique-style Javanese floor tiles in pale orange and dark red. The pavilion comprises a sitting area, furnished with chairs, sofas, coffee tables and beanbags focussed around a 60-inch, satellite-channel TV and DVD player. In another corner is a pool table, and there is also a portable table-tennis table, a library, and a bar, creating the perfect social hub for guests to congregate, relax, watch a movie, read, or play games.

Dining Pavilion & Kitchen

The grand dining pavilion is open-sided and furnished with a table for twelve, which can be extended if required, perfect for formal dinners. A magnificent chandelier, inspired by the Dutch colonial-style lamps, hangs from the centre of the soaring roof. At one end of the room is an open-plan kitchen and service counter, and behind this is the main kitchen, well equipped with a five-burner stove, an oven, fridge, freezer, charcoal grill, and everything else that the chef needs in order to prepare delicious meals.

The Pool & Garden

Villa 3667presents an enticing, 8 x 20 metre, freeform swimming pool bordered by a timber sundeck, furnished with sunloungers and umbrellas oriented towards the sea view, and bordered by palms and flowering shrubs. The huge garden is characterised by flat lawns and towering coconut trees, and stretches all the way to a man-made sandy ‘beach’ area, below which is a rocky beach, lapped by clear waters and safe for swimming.

Pool Bar & Gazebo

Pool Bar (Arimbi) is a standalone, joglo-styled bar rests alongside the pool deck, creating the perfect spot for a refreshing drink during the afternoon, or a cocktail at sunset.

Gazebo (Drupadi) is located in the coconut-grove wedding garden, the elevated wedding gazebo is blessed with sea views in one direction and a vista of Lombok’s hills and the mountains in the other direction. What could be more romantic than exchanging wedding vows in this gorgeous setting!
